To serve rather than be served-in humility, simplicity, and charity.
The Ladies of Charity are women who are dedicated to the mission of serving Christ in the poor, motivated by the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, through personal service to those in need. Locally established in 1068 and in association with the national Ladies of Charity USA, we are a member of the AIC International Association of Charities of St. Vincent de Paul, initiated by the saint more than 400 years ago.
In the call to serve, our members contribute their time and talents to various ministries caring for those in need. The primary ministry is the food pantry which has provided for the community for over 30 years. As we grow in members and generous donations, we are able to respond to current needs of the community with additional ministries and aid.
We invite you to experience the joy of sharing in our mission to serve those in need. Prayerfully search your heart and give the personal gifts of self, time, devotion, love, sacrifice, and perseverance in the effort to bring dignity and compassion to each person we serve.
